Biography

Sameer Dixit is a cyber security researcher with over 15 years of experience in penetration testing and security research. At Spirent, he is leading the ethical hacking and security research team called Spirent SecurityLabs. Prior to Spirent, Sameer has worked for leading security companies such as Trustwave- SpiderLabs, Cenzic etc. Where he led the penetration testing, vulnerability scanning and managed security testing services team. Sameer has a passion for securing technology and is particularly focused on crypto,securing connected vehicles, devices, remote services and apps. He has contributed research to various security consortiums such as OWASP etc., has been quoted in various industry-leading security and business publications such as Security Week, Business Insider, ZDnet, SC Magazine, and more. Additionally, he has spoken at DefCon and various cyber security threat summits, security podcasts, universities, conducted webinars, and actively blogs on emerging security trends.
