Justin Newton has been an early pioneer in the development of both the Internet and blockchain technology. One of the few people to have contributed to Internet standards (RFCs) and bitcoin standards (BIPs), he has played a key role in the development of both of those world changing technologies. His last four companies: AboveNet, NetZero/United Online, Demand Media, and Blackline Systems have all exited with $1 Billion + IPOs. Justin founded The Internet Service Provider’s Consortium (the first trade association for ISPs) and was their Public Policy Director. He currently serves on the Industry/Law Enforcement Portal Working Group of the Blockchain Alliance, the State Legislative Working Group of the Chamber of Digital Commerce, the Digital Currency Group (DCG) Alliance, the OAX Working Group of the OPEN ANX Foundation, and the Distributed Identity Foundation. He is also on the Board of Directors for Adra Software. Justin is currently the founder and CEO of Netki (https://www.netki.com), a Los Angeles based financial technology company. Their flagship Digital Identity product helps companies operating on public and private blockchains to meet their identity needs as they relate to customer onboarding, risk, and compliance.
